Rossi: Ligonier Township Awarded Grant for Sidewalks, Pedestrian Bridge Construction

LIGONIER TOWNSHIP – Rep. Leslie Rossi (R-Westmoreland) today announced Ligonier Township has been awarded a $587,000 grant through the Multimodal Transportation Fund to support the construction of sidewalks and a pedestrian bridge in the township. This grant will help enhance pedestrian safety and improve the overall infrastructure in Ligonier Township, benefiting local residents and visitors.

“Investing in infrastructure such as sidewalks and pedestrian bridges is critical to creating safer and more accessible communities,” said Rossi. “This grant will help Ligonier Township build the infrastructure needed to improve the quality of life for our residents and ensure our community remains vibrant and connected for years to come.”

The funding comes from the Multimodal Transportation Fund under the Commonwealth Financing Authority, which is responsible for administering the state’s economic development programs. The fund provides grants to support projects that improve transportation safety, promote economic development, and enhance the quality of life for residents across Pennsylvania.
