Rossi Announces State Funding for Transportation Improvements in Westmoreland County

December 29, 2025

WESTMORELAND COUNTY – Rep. Leslie Rossi (R-Westmoreland) today announced more than $699,000 in state funding has been awarded for critical transportation infrastructure projects in Westmoreland County through the Multimodal Transportation Fund.

The funding will support two projects aimed at improving safety and maintaining essential local infrastructure:

   • Ligonier Township will receive $574,305 to replace the Ramsey Road Bridge.
   • Unity Township will receive $125,000 for sinkhole restoration along Route 30 and Fred Rogers Drive.

“These investments will help keep our roads and bridges safe and reliable while strengthening connections throughout Westmoreland County,” said Rossi. “By replacing aging infrastructure and addressing hazards like sinkholes, we are protecting motorists, supporting emergency response, and ensuring our communities have the dependable transportation network they need to support local businesses and long-term economic growth.”

The Multimodal Transportation Fund, administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, provides grants to municipalities, councils of governments, businesses and economic development organizations for projects that improve transportation safety, enhance mobility and support economic development.
